Food Truck Dispute with City Continues

The fight between the City of Evanston and food truck Beavers Coffee & Donuts over the city’s food truck regulations continues to percolate as the donut truck officially applied for a permit to operate in the city on March 22, the Daily Northwestern reported.

In late January, a Cook County judge sided with the city and dismissed the case on the grounds that truck owners James Nuccio and Gabriel Wiesen never applied for a license to operate in Evanston; if Evanston denies Beavers’ license application, the owners said they will address any of the city’s concern unless the reason for rejecting the application is the brick-and-mortar clause of the city ordinance, the Daily Northwestern reported.
