EVANSTON, IL — To celebrate the third anniversary of the opening of its Evanston location, Cupitol Coffee and Eatery is offering free coffee and croissants. The restaurant and bar at 812 Grove St. is open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., but supplies of the the buttery pastries may not last until closing time.

Cupitol is an "all day lounge that brings together the best elements of a restaurant, a bakery, a café and an exclusive bar," according to its website. Since opening in Evanston in 2016 in the former site of The Keg, and in the same building as Bangers and Lace, Cupitol opened up a second location in Chicago's Streeterville neighborhood the following year.

Cupitol was founded by Evanston native Sellia Georges, who comes from a family of restaurateurs and returned to the city after spending nearly two decades in Europe.
