Freshman Serafina Goodwill blasted a school record 3 home runs in one game Thursday against Glenbrook North, but that wasn’t enough to tame the Spartans in a Central Suburban League South division contest.
GBN scored a 13-4 triumph over the Wildkit softball team despite Goodwill’s heroics. She slugged a two-run blast in the first inning, with teammate Chloe Haack aboard, and then powered solo shots in the 3rd and 5th frames for the losers.
Evanston dropped to 9-11 on the season. Goodwill’s impressive power surge brought her season total to 6 homers, 3 shy of the ETHS single season mark.
