Group Hopes to Name ETHS Baseball Field After Legendary Coach
An effort is underway to name the baseball field after Ken McGonagle, the winningest coach in school history.
A group of Evanston residents is seeking help in an effort to name the high school's baseball field after legendary coach Ken McGonagle.
McGonagle taught at the high school from 1955 to 1988 and coached baseball at the same time. He is the winningest coach in school history, with 657 wins, according to an announcement posted on Patch.
The group is seeking residents who can write to school officials suggesting the field be named after McGonagle.
