Make Mother's Day Brunch, Dinner Reservations In Evanston

More eateries around Evanston may be open for Mother's Day 2021, but it's smart to reserve a spot now. Others are offering pickup deals.

EVANSTON, IL — Everything Mom has done over the past year of the coronavirus pandemic should add up to an extra-special 2021 Mother’s Day celebration on Sunday, May 9. To start her the day off right, how about taking Mom to her favorite brunch spot in or around Evanston?

Many restaurants and eateries are still limiting seating, so making a reservation early is especially important this year. And if you’re still undecided about going to a sit-down restaurant, curbside pickup or delivery is an option in many places.

But again, call ahead for reservations; some of your local favorites may be closed on Mother’s Day so the moms who work there can have a day off with their families.

Many restaurants offer prix fixe menus, signature cocktails, decadent desserts and five-star service.

In addition to brunch specials at local restaurants, some other area businesses are offering special Mother's Day deals to go.

The Fresh Market, at 3232 Lake Ave. in Wilmette, is offering a brunch package with a choice of quiche, applewood smoked bacon, tropical fruit and blueberry muffins, according to the website Delish. The dinner bundle includes a surf-and-turf dinner for two, with a choice of filet mignon or a Chilean sea bass, whipped potatoes, asparagus and chocolate strawberries. Both options feature a seasonal flower bouquet.
