Million Dollar Evanston Home Featured on CNBC

The Victorian went head-to-head with a country estate in the station's "Million Dollar Homes" contest.

A $1.1 million Queen Ann Victorian for sale in Evanston was featured Friday on CNBC’s “Million Dollar Homes” segment.

The home, built in the 1890s for the founder of the YMCA, was pitted against a considerably larger country estate in Blacksburg, VA that included a main house and guest house.

Although New York “super broker” Dolly Lenz said she prefers the Evanston home, viewers, who were asked to vote on the two houses, chose the Virginia estate, which moves on to the next round of voting.
