New Daycare Proposed for Howard Street

A Step By Step Learning Academy has applied to open a daycare center for infants through 3 year olds on Howard Street. The application goes before Evanston’s Site Plan and Appearance Review Committee Wednesday.

The proposal for 1909-1911 Howard St. would be open to 12 infants and toddlers and 16 2-3 year olds, according to the application documents filed with the city. The center would be open weekdays from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. The back parking lot and side alley would be used for pick-up and drop-off.

A Step By Step has a center at 2122 Dobson St. for children 6 weeks to 5 years old, according to its website.
