Out Of Space 2021: Evanston Summer Concert Tickets For Sale

Patti Smith and Ben Harper are coming to Canal Shores, while George Clinton, Big Boi and Twista are set for shows at Temperance Beer Co.

EVANSTON, IL — As Illinois approaches the potential lifting of statewide gathering restrictions associated with the coronavirus pandemic, new acts have been added to the lineup for this summer's Out of Space concert series.

Launched in 2018 and now in its third year, Out of Space is organized by the venue Evanston Space and takes place at temporary stages at Canal Shores Golf Course, 1030 Central St., and Temperance Beer Co., 2000 Dempster St.

Emmylou Harris and Los Lobos, Aug. 5 at Canal Shores
Patti Smith and Her Band, Aug. 6 at Canal Shores
Ben Harper and the Innocent Criminals, Aug 7 at Canal Shores
Caamp, Aug. 8 at Canal Shores

Big Boi with Twista, Sept. 2 at Temperance
Drive-By Truckers and JD McPherson, Sept. 3 at Temperance
Neko Case with Son Litte, Sept. 4 at Temperance
George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic with Liquid Soul, Sept. 5 at Temperance

Opening acts for Ben Harper and Caamp have yet to be determined. Tickets are available starting Wednesday for Patti Smith and Ben Harper using the code OUTOFSPACE2021.

More tickets to previously sold-out shows — including Emmylou Harris and Los Lobos, Caamp and Neko Case — will go on sale Friday at 10 a.m., according to organizers.

There will also be limited opportunities to purchase tickets in person this week, including from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday at Uncle Dan's Evanston, 1600 Sherman Ave., and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday at Evanston Space, 1245 Chicago Ave.
