A package containing a smartphone was reported stolen from an apartment in the 1500 block of Dobson Street on March 11 around 5:30 p.m. The phone was valued at more than $500, the report stated.
Vending machine looted

A hotel manager reported that a vending machine in the 1500 block of Sherman Avenue was pried open and looted on March 6.
Keyed car
A car owner reported that an unknown person(s) scratched his or her vehicle parked in the 100 block of Callan Avenue on March 13.
Possession of cannabis
Everado Mendez, 19, of Evanston, was charged with possession of marijuana on March 13. He was arrested in the 1800 block of Simpson Street around 7:47 p.m., the report stated.
