Phototronics Owners Passing Torch to Employees

Public welcome to a reception for Peter and Betty Skalski, long-time owners on Saturday from 3 to 6 p.m.

Preserving memories is what Phototronics owners have been doing at the Elm and Lincoln store since 1951.

Owners Peter and Betty Skalski have sold their business to their employees, Scott Dallmeyer and Keith Franson, The new owners, along with Toni Greetis, photo lab manager, and Mike Zuber, lab technician, have over sixty years experience at the business.

“Phototronics will continue to be the ’camera store on the corner’,” according to a press release.

The store will continue to capture, enhance and restore personal family visual artifacts. They will be able to save them to DVDs and other digital media.

The store will host a ”Goodbye Betty and Peter, Hello Scott and Keith Reception,” Betty Skalski said.The public is invited, she said. The event will be held Saturday from 3 to 6 p.m. with wine and food. It will be held at 740 Elm Street, Winnetka.
