Police Investigating Report of Unwanted Sexual Act by Evanston Firefighter

A 26-year-old woman told police that the incident took place at Fire Station 1, 1332 Emerson St., while other firefighters were asleep.

Police are investigating a 26-year-old woman's claim that she was the victim of an unwanted sexual act by an Evanston firefighter while he was on duty, according to the Evanston Review.

The woman told police that she met the Evanston firefighter through a dating website, then arranged to meet him at Fire Station 1, 1332 Emerson St., where the incident took place while other firefighters were asleep, the Review reports.

No charges had been filed as of Wednesday morning, and the investigation could take several weeks, Evanston Police Cmdr. Jason Parrott told Patch.
