Price of 1 Bedroom Apartments Down, 2 Bedrooms Up in Evanston
Zumper.com shows change in median prices per month.
The median rent for a one bedroom apartment in Evanston is $1,420 - a 2 percent drop off from last month - Evanston Now reports.
The real estate website Zumper.com points out that statistic, in addition to one that indicates a 5.6 increase over the last month in the price of a two bedroom unit to $1,690, up 9 percent from last quarter.
“The report says rent on a one bedroom apartment has dropped 10 percent in Evanston since last quarter, which may be due to the opening of the E2 development, which has added several hundred new units to the supply,” Evanston Now’s Bill Smith writes.
