"I like how they have a big patio on a quiet street," said another. "Everywhere else downtown with outdoor seating, people are always walking like, right next to your table all of the time because there's nowhere else to walk."
Evanston Patch readers also recommended Smylie Brothers' food options, with the brisket a particular favorite.
"Best barbecue in the city by far, and the beer is great. I love that purple line," one respondent said.
Five and Dime, with its rooftop patio at 1026 Davis St., was the runner-up in our survey. Readers praised its downtown views, food and cocktails.
"Feels like you are in the city," one reader said.
