The eight-week project includes replacing a water main, resurfacing the road, a new sidewalk and other improvements.
EVANSTON, IL — Sherman Avenue's improvement project will begin April 1, affecting parking in the area. The project is expected to culminate with some utility and cosmetic improvements.
Starting April 1, Sherman Avenue will be affected between Davis and Church streets for eight weeks. There will be no parking on the east side of Sherman during the project, and there will be intermittent shutdowns of parking on the west side.
The project includes replacing the water main and street light improvements. They'll also resurface the avenue within the project limits, replace existing pavers with a new, brick-bordered concrete sidewalk, install new curbing as needed and replace tree grates.
