The City of Evanston Public Works Agency is expecting one to three inches of snow this weekend.
“The winds off the lake will warm temperatures with a rain and snow mix possible,” according to their forecast. “Pavement temperatures are quite warm as well, hovering in the upper 40’s to low 50’s. These warm pavement temperatures will, at least initially, present a challenge for snow to accumulate.”
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for Friday night through Saturday with “the possibility of significant accumulations” in the Chicago-area.
