Some Evanston Businesses Object to Bike Lane

Some merchants oppose plans for a bike lane because it could reduce 10 diagonal parking spaces.

 

Some Evanston businesses oppose a proposed bike lane in the 500 block of Davis Street because it could eliminate 10 diagonal parking spaces, Evanston Now reported. 

Ted Mavrakis, who owns the building housing Todoroki and the Giordano’s pizza at one corner, says the five restaurants on the block needs the parking spots and suggested the city purchasing the vacant lot at 1515 Chicago Ave. to use for parking, Evanston Now reported.
