VIDEO: Waves Rock Lake Shore Drive
High winds on the lakefront makes flooding a possibility.
CHICAGO, IL - Winter is right back where it belongs, in Chicago, and things have been nasty all day.
Especially by the lake.
Fierce waves on Lake Michigan have been spotted, and a Lakeshore Flood Warning has been put into effect until midnight for both Cook and Lake counties, according to the National Weather Service.
Winds gusting up to 60 mph along the lakefront in Chicago could cause waves as high as 15-20 feet, with the highest expected to come in the late afternoon and evening.
Extensive flooding is anticipated.
