Weese Designed Evanston Home Sells for $600K

The 1940's built residence on Grant Street was one of the first designed by Harry Weese in the 1940's. It was sold quickly after it listed.

EVANSTON, IL - One of the earliest home designed by prominent Chicago-based architect Harry Weese left the market just days after it was listed.

The three-bedroom home on Grant Street in Evanston designed by Weese when he was 25 closed on April 26 for $600,000, its full asking price according to Crain’s Chicago.

Built in the 1940’s, the home has wood ceilings and a fireplace with modernist brick.

Weese is remembered most for designing several Chicago-area buildings in addition to the Washington, D.C. subway system.
