Did you forget the stuffing? Need to take out the trash? Want to get out of the house? Here's what's open and closed in Evanston on Thanksgiving.
Grocery Stores:
- Trader Joe's, 1211 Chicago Ave., closed
- Dominick's, 1910 Dempster St., open 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.
- Whole Foods Market Downtown, 1640 Chicago Ave., open 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Food 4 Less, 2400 Main St., open 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Jewel-Osco, 2485 Howard St., open 24 hours
- Foodstuffs, 2106 Central St., closed
- Dominick's, 2748 Green Bay Rd., 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.
- Jewel-Osco, 1128 Chicago Ave., open 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Whole Foods Market Evanston South, 1111 Chicago Ave., open 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

"Please note the following changes in service delivery and building hours in recognition of the Thanksgiving holiday.
No recycling collection will occur on Thursday, November 28 or Friday, November 29. Recycling collection for Thursday and Friday will occur on Saturday, November 30. No refuse collection will occur on Thursday, November 28. Solid waste and yard waste collection will resume on Friday, November 29.
The Evanston Public Libraries, Robert Crown Center and the 3-1-1 Call Center will be closed on Nov. 28. The Lorraine H. Morton Civic Center, Fleetwood-Jourdain Center and Noyes Cultural Arts Center will be closed Nov. 28 and 29. The Ecology Center will be closed Nov. 28-30. The Levy Senior Center will close at 5pm on Nov. 27 and be closed Nov. 28 and 29. Chandler-Newberger Center will be closed on Nov. 28 and open on Nov. 29 only for the open basketball program."
