Ferrara Candy Company Employees Raise Funds for Hunger Relief

Volunteers Walked to Benefit Greater Chicago Food Depository

More than 40 employees of Ferrara Candy Company, who work across locations in Bellwood, Maywood, Forest Park, Bolingbrook and Oak Brook, took part in the 31st Annual Hunger Walk to benefit the Greater Chicago Food Depository. The June 25th walk at historic Jackson Park is the area’s largest anti-hunger rally. As one of Ferrara’s Community Engagement Council initiatives, entry fees for participating employees and their family members were paid for by the Company. Funds raised support a local network of food pantries, soup kitchens and shelters fighting hunger throughout Cook County.
