Updated: Forest Park Man Shot at Gas Station in Chicago was Father of 3

Gregory Bady, 28, of Forest Park has been identified as the man police said was shot at an Austin gas station early Monday morning.

Updated, Jan. 15: According to the Oak Leaves newspaper, Chicago police have released the name of a Forest Park man shot in the early morning hours of Jan. 14 at a gas station in Chicago.

Gregory Bady, 28, of Forest Park, was pronounced dead at 5:03 a.m. at Mount Sinai Hospital. Bady was found shot in a van near the Eisenhower Expressway around 4:30 a.m. on Monday.

According to reporting by the Chicago Tribune, Bady had an extensive criminal record, but his uncle, who spoke to reporters outside the gas station Monday, said he was working to change his life and be a better role model for his children.

The Chicago Tribune reported that a Forest Park man, 28, was shot and killed at a gas station on the west side of Chicago early this morning.

The shooting occurred around 4:30 a.m. at a gas station in the 5200 block of west Jackson Boulevard. According to police, the shooting followed an argument between the man and another person at the gas station.

Police are not releasing the man's name until the family has been contacted.

The victim drove or was driven to the 600 block of south Kostner Avenue after being shot and was found near the entrance to the Eisenhower Expressway. He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 5:03 a.m.
