Celebrate the finale of Friends of the Library Week and meet author Geralyn Hesslau McGrady, winner of the Soon to be Famous Illinois Author contest, at Berwyn Public Library on Saturday, Oct. 22 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

In celebration of Friends of the Library Week 2016 (October 16 - 22), Geralyn Hesslau McGrady, Berwyn resident and 2016 winner of the Soon to be Famous Illinois Author contest, will read from her award-winning novel, Lines. Geralyn will share how her genealogical research evolved into the story of Livia Haas and her family’s struggles in 1870s Chicago. She will also discuss her experience as a Soon to be Famous contest participant and winner. Copies of the book will be available for purchase and signing by the author.The Friends of the Library Board will vote in a new member immediately prior to the author presentation.
