A New Mexican Restaurant Comes to Forest Park

Goat tacos will be on the menu of the new Forest Park restaurant called Tacabron

There has been a buzz around town regarding a location near the corner of Harrison Street and Circle. Something new and exciting is planned for October... Tacabrón - a casual taqueria with the best authentic food and drinks in town.

With more than 27 years in the business, Joe Fernandez, Jr., proprietor, is no stranger to the restaurant industry. Last year, his team opened En Fuego Mexican Grille in Oakbrook Terrace, on 22nd and Midwest Road. His restaurant and cantina have quickly attracted a clientele that enjoys great Mexican cuisine in a trendy, casual environment.

"A great Mexican restaurant is about real family recipes made from the best ingredients shared among friends or family in a great place," says Fernandez. "And that’s what we do."

So, what is this "Tacabrón" that everyone is talking about? The Tacabrón is one of their signature dishes - a special goat taco. The name comes from the combination of taco and cabrón, a male goat.

The restaurant is scheduled to open in mid-October. They will offer a full menu of authentic Mexican food as well as margaritas and a selection of Mexican beers. Fernandez recommends watching Facebook (FB.com/eattacabron) or his website (eattacabron.com) for details.
