Top 50 School Districts Paying the Most in Teacher, Administrator Salaries

Using the latest salary data from the Illinois State Board of Education, we sorted through the state’s school districts to see which ones were the highest paying in terms of base salaries for teachers and administrators.

While the base salary figures from ISBE combine teacher and admin pay, we list the average salaries for both, as well as student-admin ratio and number of full-time teachers in the top 50 districts. A table follows with a list of each school district in alphabetical order.

Here are the top 50 school districts paying the most in base salaries. If your property taxes are high, there’s a good chance you live in one of them.
