$1,000 Necklace Missing After Visit From 'Plumber': Cops
A man calling himself a plumber told a homeowner he needed to check her home's plumbing and water output.

FRANKFORT, IL — A homeowner's $1,000 necklace was stolen by someone calling himself a plumber, according to the Will County's Sheriff's Office. No one was hurt in the incident.
At around 10 a.m. Nov. 12, the homeowner in the 7300 block of West Benton Drive answered her front door for a man who identified himself as a " 'plumber' named Jimmy," the sheriff's office said. The man told the woman he needed to check the home's plumbing and water output.
The woman then asked the man for credentials, but he said he didn't have any. That didn't stop her from letting the man into her home, however, according to the sheriff's office.

Once inside, the woman followed the man as he checked all of the bathrooms and water faucets. But after the man left, the homeowner noticed that a $1,000 necklace had been taken from the top of a dresser, the sheriff's office said.
During the visit from the "plumber," the woman also saw another man who was sitting inside a gray sedan parked in her driveway, authorities said.
