All Three Lincoln-Way Dance Teams Advance To State Finals
West finished first at the Class 2A sectionals, East finished third and Lincoln-Way Central took fourth in the Class 3A sectionals.
FRANKFORT, IL — All three Lincoln-Way varsity dance teams have advanced to the state finals. The district said Lincoln-Way West finished first at the Class 2A sectionals, Lincoln-Way East finished third in the Class 3A sectionals, and Lincoln-Way Central took fourth at the Class 3A sectionals.
According to the IHSA website, all three teams competed at sectionals Jan. 25 in Normal. West scored 88 points, beating out second place Dunlap High School. For class 3A, Lincoln-Way East scored 88.80 points, while Lincoln-Way Central scored 86.87.
The state competition will be held Jan. 31-Feb. 1 at Grossinger Motors Arena in Bloomington.

Lincoln-Way Central qualified for the state finals in 2018 and 2019. Lincoln-Way East last qualified in 2016. Lincoln-Way West has qualified for state every year since the competition started in 2012.
