Body Fountain Offers Special Needs Therapy Day

The business said it is offering 30-minute services at a discounted price for anyone of any age with physical or mental disabilities.

FRANKFORT, IL — Body Fountain in Frankfort will host a special needs day on Friday. The business, which offers services like personalized massage therapy, cupping therapy, reflexology, and facials, is offering 30-minute services at a discounted price for the special event, owner Krystal Wilson said.

Wilson said her daughter has special needs, and she has benefited from a holistic approach. The idea for a special needs day came about after discussion with her two managers, who also have children with special needs.

"We've closed all our regular services for the day," Wilson said. Services offered include reflexology, massage, facial or steam sauna for a discounted price of $20.

Wilson said the price was reduced so that all financial situations were considered. Another concern she had was the amount of time for the services, as it can sometimes be difficult to sit still for long, she said. To accommodate everyone, she decided to offer 30-minute services, although multiple appointments can be booked.

There are still appointments available for the event, and you can call 708-408-1771 to reserve an appointment time. The offer is for anyone of any age with physical or mental disabilities, the business said.

In addition to special needs day, the business is also taking donations for the Lincoln-Way Special Recreation Association through Friday. When you pay for services at the business, you can add your donation to your credit card payment.

"It's a great organization to pair up with," Wilson said.

The recreation association provides recreation services for those with disabilities, from preschool through adulthood.

Wilson opened Body Fountain, 20500 S. La Grange Road, in 2017. Wilson, a Lincoln-Way East High School alumna, graduated from massage school at The Soma Institute in Chicago. Body Fountain is open seven days a week.
