Buford's BBQ And Bourbon Liquor License Approved

The carry-out restaurant will be located at 21112 S. La Grange Road. An opening date was not yet given.

FRANKFORT, IL — A new carry-out restaurant in Frankfort will move forward after the Frankfort Village Board created a new liquor license class to accommodate Buford's BBQ & Bourbon. At its Monday meeting, the board also approved a special use permit for accessory liquor sales for the restaurant, 21112 S. La Grange Road, in the Frankfort Crossing shopping center.

The new liquor license, the E-4 license, allow the retail sale of beer, wine and bourbon only for on-premises consumption, board documents state.

Buford's BBQ & Bourbon will be open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday. The business will employ about 10 people, according to plan commission minutes. Patch has reached out to the business for more details on operations.

According to the business' Facebook, the restaurant will offer smoked BBQ favorites. John Mathis, who also owns Salina's Pizza, is the applicant for the new restaurant.
