Lemont Township High School Graduate Julie Stanwyck Earns Dean's Award for Academic Excellence at Colgate University

Julie Stanwyck, a member of the Colgate University Class of 2022, has earned the fall 2020 Dean's Award for Academic Excellence.

Stanwyck is a Music major and a graduate of Lemont Township High School, from Lemont.

Students who receive a term grade point average of 3.3 or higher while completing at least three courses earn the fall 2020 Dean's Award for Academic Excellence.

Students awarded degrees from Palmer College of Chiropractic

Mimi McParland, of Frankfort; and Jonathan Burns, of New Lenox, graduated with a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic's Main campus in Davenport, Iowa on Feb. 26.

To qualify for the Dean's List, students must earn a GPA of 3.50 or better during the semester, based on 4.0 for straight As.

New Lenox's Nolan Hullinger: Staying focused on service this spring

Nolan Hullinger, a student at the University of Iowa from New Lenox, majoring in Finance, participated in Hawkeye Service Break.

The cohort meets over Zoom on Monday evenings to discuss a broad curriculum before breaking into smaller groups to examine their selected theme area: economic justice, educational justice, environmental justice, food insecurity, or health care. Students participate in three service weekends during the spring semester.

Sarah Scarnavack of Mokena, was named to the Dean's List at Lehigh University in the Fall 2020 semester

Dean's List status, which is awarded to students who earned a scholastic average of 3.6 or better while carrying at least 12 hours of regularly graded courses, has been granted to Sarah Scarnavack of Mokena, in the Fall 2020 semester.
