Concerts On The Green Return: Line-Up Released

The concerts take place every Sunday, starting June 20, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Breidert Green.

FRANKFORT, IL — Concerts on the Green will return for its 34th year this summer in Frankfort. The concerts take place every Sunday from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Breidert Green, at the corner of White and Kansas streets, in downtown Frankfort.

Admission to the concerts is free, and guests can bring lawn chairs or a blanket to enjoy the music.

The concert series is organized by a committee selected by the Frankfort Chamber of Commerce, according to the chamber website. If there is inclement weather, the concerts will be held at the Frankfort Park District Founders Community Center, 140 Oak St.

July 11: Truman's Ridge (provided by Down Home Guitars and the Frankfort Bluegrass Festival)

July 18: Dancing Queen (ABBA cover band)

July 25: Petty Kings (Tom Petty cover band)

Aug. 1: Good Clean Fun (contemporary pop rock)

Aug. 8: Second Hand Soul (Motown, funk and soul)

Aug. 15: Yacht Rockettes (soft, mellow rock)

Aug. 22: River Road (country/Americana)

Aug. 29: Outcast Jazz Band (big band)
