Coronavirus Prompts 'Virtual Egg Hunt' In Frankfort
Easter is less than two weeks away, and while we're social distancing, kids can still have some fun "finding" eggs.
FRANKFORT, IL —Frankfort Park District parks, offices and playgrounds are closed due to the coronavirus outbreak, but that doesn't mean there's no fun to be had.
Families are urged to head over to the Frank Fort Park District Facebook page at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 4, for the virtual egg hunt.
The park district's usual spring events — the Spring Craft & Vendor Show, spring break movie fun, Donuts with the Bunny and the in-person egg hunt with Peter Cottontail — are all canceled.

Playgrounds, the Bark Park and other amenities are closed through at least April 7 due to the state's stay-at-home order, but residents can still leave their homes to walk, hike, run or bike, and can go to open outdoor recreation areas as long as they practice social distancing and stay at least six feet away from others, according to the park district.
