Dozens Keep Cool At Frankfort Splash Park (VIDEO)

"It's wet. It's cold. It's hot. It's something to do," said a mom who brought her kids to the water park Saturday.

FRANKFORT, IL — With temperatures in the 90s, south suburban residents tried to find any way they could to beat the heat Saturday. One of those options was Frankfort Park District's Splash Park.

Dozens of people visited the water pad at Commissioners Park to try to stay cool on what is turning out to be the hottest weekend of the year so far. The attraction is one of two splash parks in the Frankfort area, along with Frankfort Square Park District's splash pad at 7540 W. Braemar Lane.

"It's wet. It's cold. It's hot. It's something to do," said one mother who brought her two children to the park Saturday.
