Election 2016 in Frankfort: Top Races, Polling Places, and Results

FRANKFORT, IL — It’s finally almost time. Election Day in Will County should be a busy one. And the presidential race between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton is not the only one to watch. Several congressional and senate seats will be up for election across Chicagoland. Local seats and various referendum questions will also appear on some voters ballots.

With the hopes of making your voting experience as seamless as possible, we’ve included information below and answers to the top election-related questions many voters often have.

Where is My Polling Place? How can I view a sample ballot?
The Will County Clerk website allows you to look up your polling place and check out what candidates will appear on your ballot. You can do so by using the polling location tool.

You can also check to see if you are registered to vote by using the Voter Lookup tool.

When can I vote on Election Day?
The polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Election Day in Will County.

Can You Register to Vote on Election Day in Will County?
If you have not yet registered to vote, you will be able to do so this year at your home precinct on Election Day in Will County.

What Forms of Identification Do I Need?
When registering before a deputy registrar, you need two forms of identification, with one showing your current address.

On Election Day, you are not required to show identification at the polling place if you are already registered to vote from the address where you reside. The only exception to this is if you registered by mail and failed to include the necessary identification with the registration.
