Eager students learned every detail on the life cycle of a chicken and, as with everything in a Montessori classroom, they received hands-on experience. Everyone was required to complete an "incubation and embryology" packet, making sure to take good care of the eggs in the incubator until the birth of the chicks. Once the chicks were alive and healthy under their care and guidance, they received a certificate from the University of Illinois Extension. This was an educational and fun way to learn for all our young students!
