Flooding Briefly Closes Stretch Of LaGrange Road
UPDATED: Rain and thunderstorms throughout the day Monday forced Frankfort police to shut down the street near the viaduct.

FRANKFORT, IL — A stretch of LaGrange Road was briefly closed Monday night because of flooding, according to Frankfort police. The affected area was between Nebraska Street and Laraway Road at the viaduct, police said in a statement.
Rain and thunderstorms had been rolling through northeastern Illinois throughout the day. The National Weather Service issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook as the storms make their way through the area Monday night.
Frankfort police alerted residents when LaGrange Road reopened just before 8:30 p.m.
