FRANKFORT, IL — In his second year in the NFL, former Lincoln-Way East football player Nick Allegretti is heading to his second Super Bowl. Allegretti is an offensive guard with the Kansas City Chiefs, who will face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Super Bowl LV on Sunday.
Last year, in his rookie season for the NFL, Allegretti was part of the Chiefs' Super Bowl victory.
Allegretti was a standout player at Lincoln-Way East, and was also chosen to play for the All-American Bowl. He graduated from East in 2014. After high school, Allegretti went on to play at the University of Illinois, where he also served as a captain for two years.

Allegretti was drafted by Kansas City in 2019 as a seventh-round pick.
