Former Lincoln-Way East Player Takes Home Super Bowl Win

Nick Allegretti has picked up his first Super Bowl win after the Kansas City Chiefs beat the 49ers Sunday.

FRANKFORT, IL — In his rookie season in the NFL, former Lincoln-Way East football player Nick Allegretti has picked up a Super Bowl win. Allegretti, an offensive guard with the Kansas City Chiefs, participated in his first Super Bowl in the match-up against the San Francisco 49ers Sunday.

The Kansas City Chiefs beat the 49ers 31-20, winning its first championship in 50 years.

Allegretti was a stand-out player at Lincoln-Way East, and was also chosen to play for the All-American Bowl. He graduated from East in 2014. After high school, Allegretti went on to play at the University of Illinois, where he also served as a captain for two years.

Allegretti was drafted by Kansas City in 2019 as a seventh-round pick.
