Frankfort Approves $293K Contract For Test Well
The test is the first stage of the design process for a new well and water treatment plant at the Elsner Road water tower site.

FRANKFORT, IL — The Frankfort Village Board approved a $293,390 contract for water well drilling and testing as part of the design process for the new well and water treatment plant at the Elsner Road water tower site.
As part of the design for the Elsner Road site, a test well needs to be constructed to check the viability and expected production of a well at the location, board documents state.
Trustee Adam Borelli, who chairs the Operations Committee, said the committee reviewed three bid proposals for the work, and recommended that Midwest Well Services, which was the lowest bidder, be awarded the project.

In December, the village approved an engineering services agreement with Robinson Engineering for the design of the new well and water treatment plant. The test well, Well 18, is the first stage of the design process, board documents state.
