Frankfort Approves Relocation of Polaris Martial Arts

FRANKFORT, IL — Polaris Martial Arts will relocate within the Heritage Plaza after the Frankfort Village Board approved a special use permit for the business.

"This is more of a housekeeping item than anything else," Trustee John Clavio said.

"Their landlord had asked them to switch locations in the same facility," he said.

The business was located at Unit 3W in the Heritage Plaza, 10850 Laraway Road, and will now move to Unit 3E.

Clavio said special use permits do not follow businesses, so the business had to come in and request another permit for the new space.

A public hearing was held Feb. 25, and the Plan Commission forwarded a unanimous recommendation to the Village Board to grant the request, board documents state.
