Frankfort Country Market Set for 2016 Season

Farmers market fans, get ready. Your local favorite is almost ready to return.

The 2016 Frankfort Country Market is scheduled to open on Sunday, April 24 at 10 a.m. The market continues every Sunday until October 23 in downtown Frankfort. The Spring Market (from April 24 through May 29) features early crops and plantings; the hours for the Spring market are 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Summer Market (from June 5 through August 28 features a wide variety of seasonal produce, freshly produced foods, seminars, chef demos and activities for the entire family; the hours for the Summer market are 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., providing an extra hour of shopping. Market hours in the fall (from September 11 through October 23) will be 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The market will again expand its free entertainment on the Village Green stage with weekly live entertainment beginning May 1 and continuing through September 25. Special events will again be featured in 2016 with activities for the entire family to enjoy.

To date, fifty nine vendors have been confirmed for the 2016 Frankfort Country Market; including several new vendors. A complete roster of vendors, entertainment and activities is available on the Village website as well as at the market.

We are very excited about the continued expansion of the market, new vendors, and additional activities for 2016, and look forward to a very successful market season,” commented Mayor Jim Holland.

The Frankfort Country Market Committee is a Village of Frankfort sponsored committee of residents who are appointed for one year terms by the mayor.
