FRANKFORT, IL — Summer is already chugging along, and that means Fourth of July celebrations will be filling the sky with fireworks. Here's what Frankfort has planned for Independence Day this year.

The village will have its annual Fourth of July celebration from 5 to 9 p.m. at Main Park, 200 S. Locust St. The event will include carnival games, giant inflatables, face painting and other activities. A $10 wristband gives attendees unlimited access to the attraction.

Music also is a big part of Frankfort's July 4 festivities this year. A DJ dance party will run from 5:15 to 7:15 p.m. That will be followed by live music from 7:30 to 9 p.m.
