Orland Man Charged with DUI in Crash that Killed Frankfort Man
The incident took place early Saturday along 80th Avenue.

FRANKFORT, IL — An Orland Park man faces a DUI charge in an early Saturday morning crash that ultimately killed a Frankfort man.
Initial reports indicate Nathan M. Maslan, 39, of Orland Park, was driving a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee northbound on 80th Avenue, when he attempted to tune his Bluetooth while driving and lost control of his vehicle, then swerved off 80th Avenue and struck 35-year-old Justin Grannon, of Frankfort, near Hill Avenue around 3 a.m. Saturday. Grannon was on foot on the road's shoulder.
Grannon suffered serious injuries and was treated on the scene by Frankfort Fire personnel. He was transported to St. James in Olympia Fields, and was later moved to Advocate Christ Medical Center due to the extent of his injuries. He died Sunday.

Maslan was charged with DUI, improper lane usage and illegal use of an electronic device while driving. It's anticipated that charges will be upgraded due to Grannon's death.
