Frankfort Man Cited For Fireworks Violation, Resisting Arrest

FRANKFORT, IL — The following information is from the Frankfort Police Department unless otherwise noted. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.

DUI

Antonio Mejia, 54, of the 17500 block of Central Park Avenue, Hazel Crest, was cited for driving under the influence and failing to reduce speed to avoid an accident in connection with an accident at around 1:40 p.m. July 2, near Wolf and Steger roads. His next court date is Aug. 2.

Retail Theft

Erin M. Staley, 29, of the 1600 block of West Westaire Avenue, Peoria, was arrested and charged with misdemeanor retail theft following an incident at around 6:50 p.m. July 3 in the 21000 block of LaGrange Road. Staley's next court date is Aug. 3.

Fireworks Violation

Goldin K. Winker, 52, of the 200 block of Walnut Street, Frankfort, was issued notice to appear citations for prohibited conduct—fireworks and resisting arrest following an incident at around 10:17 p.m. July 4 in the 200 block of Walnut Street. Winker's next court date is Aug. 9.
