Frankfort Mom Goes 'Above And Beyond'

FRANKFORT, IL — A Frankfort daughter shared this touching tribute to her mom as part of Patch's "Share Your Love For Mom" feature. Mother's Day is this Sunday, May 13.

Patch reader Gia said this photo of her and her mom, Jennifer, was taken on the beach during a vacation in California. She wrote:

Dear Mom,
I have the best memories with you. You mean the world to me because you have always been there for me. You aren’t like other moms, who just have fun with their kids. You go above and beyond. You let me pursue my dreams whether they are small or big. For 12 years you have loved me, cared for me, and grown up with me. You gave me a life no one could ever even imagine. I mean, I play sports, act in plays, went on to State science fair, I still hang out with my friends, and I’m on high honor roll. Enough about me, but I wouldn’t be able to do any of it if you haven’t given up so much to take care of me and make me happy. I may only be in seventh grade, but I love you more than anything in the whole wide world. One more thing I absolutely love to do with you is to be adventurous. We have traveled to so many places and I have gotten to experience some of the most amazing wonders of the world. You are truly my hero because you encourage me to be the best person I can be, and continue to be loving. Take a break on your special appreciation day. Thank you for everything, have an amazing day. I love you and Happy Mother’s Day!!
