Frankfort Pair Snared in Stolen Gun Purchase: Cops
A Mokena man allegedly took the guns. Then a Frankfort man bought them, and a female friend helped, police said.
NEW LENOX, IL — A Mokena man faces charges after police say he stole guns from a friend and then sold them to others in the area.
Brian Rudnicki, 20, of the 19400 block of Foxford Lane in Mokena, was at a friend's house in the 2400 block of Jackson Branch Drive on Sept. 24, when police say he took four guns — two semi-automatic handguns and two revolvers — out of a safe.
He later sold the weapons to 18-year-old Trenton Felkamp, of the 7700 bock of Jefferson Court in Frankfort. Gianna Davenport, 19, of the same address, allegedly assisted in the transaction by driving Felkamp to the exchange. Rudnicki initially denied involvement in the theft, but police later found he had possession of the firearms at one time.
