Frankfort Seeks BBQ'ers With Skills To Grill

FRANKFORT, IL. — The Village of Frankfort wants to know who has what it takes to smoke the competition in its 12th annual Amateur Rib Cook-Off, set for July 31.

Teams compete for 1st-, 2nd- and 3rd-place, as well as Crowd Pleaser awards. Each team must prepare and cook 15 slabs of baby back ribs on site. The fee to enter the competition is $100 and includes the price of the meat. The deadline to enter is July 23.

Proceeds from the event will benefit Frankfort Area Jaycees and Frankfort Lions Club.
