Frankfort Swears In New Police Officer
Police officer Joshua Maxwell was first hired in September 2019, and has now completed training and a probationary period.

FRANKFORT, IL —Police officer Joshua Maxwell was sworn in at Monday's Frankfort Village Board meeting. Maxwell was first hired in September 2019, and has now successfully completed primary training requirements and probationary period, Mayor Keith Ogle said.
Maxwell is a graduate of Andrew High School in Tinley Park, and has a Bachelor's degree in business administration from Illinois State University, Ogle said.
Maxwell's father served as a Chicago police officer and several other family members have served in the police and fire field, according to board documents.

"We're happy to have you, and hope you have a very long career here," Ogle said.
Police Chief John Burica said police officers in Frankfort are not sworn in when first hired, but after they complete their training and probationary period.

"[Josh] will be a great asset to the village and the department," Burica said.
