Frankfort Voter Guide 2020
In addition to voting on president, some state and local races, voters are being asked to vote on the Graduated Income Tax Amendment.
FRANKFORT, IL — With early voting and voting-by-mail numbers expected to reach record levels, many residents are indicating that they're very interested in the upcoming Nov. 3 election. Several mail-in voting drop boxes have been installed around Will County, including one at Frankfort Public Library.
The box will be located inside the library, which is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. The library is closed on Sunday.
The newly purchased white metal boxes will be clearly marked for voters, a release states. The boxes will be emptied on a daily basis by trained election representatives. All ballots will be immediately transported to the Will County Clerk's Office.

Early voting in Illinois began last month, although early voting in-person at the Village Hall and at the Library will not begin until Oct. 19.
According to the Will County Clerk's Office, early voting hours for Frankfort Village Hall will be 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, from Oct. 19 through Oct. 30. The Village Hall serves as a site for village residents only.

- A "yes" vote supports repealing the state's constitutional requirement that the state personal income tax be a flat rate and instead allow the state to enact legislation for a graduated income tax.
- A "no" vote opposes this constitutional amendment, thus continuing to require that the state personal income tax be a flat rate and prohibit a graduated income tax.

- Chief Executive Officer: Jennifer Bertino-Tarrant or Nick Ficarello
- Circuit Clerk: Andrea Lynn Chasteen or Anthony Granata
- Coroner: Laurie Summers or James Piacentini
- County Auditor: Kevin "Duffy" Blackburn or James Buiter
- Recorder of Deeds: Karen Stukel or Gretchn Fritz
- State's Attorney: James Glasgow
Frankfort voters will not see any local referendum questions this election.
