Frankfort Waives Business License Fees For 2021

FRANKFORT, IL — In an effort to help local businesses, the Frankfort Village Board has approved waiving the annual business, liquor, amusement and tobacco license fees for 2021.

The financial affairs committee recommended that the board approve this waiver after it looked at ways to help local businesses struggling as a result of the pandemic, board documents state.

At Monday's meeting, Trustee and chair of the financial affairs committee Gene Savaria said the waiver can apply to existing qualified businesses who request their fees be waived.
