Groundbreaking Set for Luxury Movie Theatre in Frankfort
Construction will soon start rolling on Emagine theater coming soon to vacant Dominick's in Frankfort.

FRANKFORT, IL — Movie fans, are you excited yet? The groundbreaking is set for a luxury theater coming soon to Frankfort.
The groundbreaking ceremony for the 70,000-square foot business will take place Aug. 31 at the movie theater's future home, 19965 S. LaGrange Rd.
Emagine Frankfort will feature 1,300 seats in 10 state-of-the-art auditoriums equipped with Christie 4K DLP Digital Cinema projectors, spectacular Dolby sound systems and plush powered reclining leather chairs separated by a full 7 feet of row spacing. All auditoriums will be handicapped-accessible and equipped with assistive devices for both seeing- and hearing-impaired guests.

Emagine will move into the space formerly occupied by Dominick's.
“We are extremely excited about introducing a gorgeous, new state-of-the-art entertainment venue to the Chicago Southland," said Paul Glantz, co-founder and chairman of Emagine Entertainment Inc.

“Community members tell me that they look forward to the upscale movie experience that the Emagine team is bringing to Frankfort. On behalf of the Village Board and all of our residents, I welcome this high quality business to Frankfort,” said Frankfort Mayor Jim Holland.
Emagine Frankfort is "intended to serve the affluent consumers of Frankfort and nearby communities seeking the most lavish moviegoing experience in the marketplace." It will be located in an area easily accessible to the greater Frankfort area, situated one mile south of I-80 on LaGrange Road.

We are confident that we are building the movie theatre of the future where guests can reconnect with movies in an environment that is as comfortable as their own living room, but with a wonderful difference; Emagine team members will serve you and take care of the clean-up. The movie-goers of Chicago Southland are in for a real treat,” said Glantz.
With the addition of Emagine Frankfort, Emagine Entertainment Inc. will operate 104 movie screens at 10 locations.
The Frankfort location is slated to open in winter 2016.
